Quang Ngai reviews and completes a series of planning projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone
Quang Ngai is reviewing and completing a series of planning projects to ensure compliance with the Project to Adjust the Overall Construction Planning of Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai Province to 2045.

Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang has just assigned the Management Board to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities to review and complete the 1/2000 scale construction zoning plans: Binh Hoa - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park; Northwest Dung Quat Urban, Industrial and Service Area; Adjustment of Dung Quat Eastern Industrial Park; Dong Quat Mixed Service Area; Dung Quat II Industrial, Urban and Service Area, ensuring compliance with the Project to Adjust the Overall Construction Master Plan of Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai Province to 2045 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 168/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2023, meeting the requirements of attracting investment and developing Dung Quat Economic Zone in the coming time.
Based on the results of the implementation of the above contents, the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Quang Ngai province is responsible for reviewing related contents, coordinating with the Department of Construction to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document to seek opinions from the Ministry of Construction on the construction zoning planning projects that have not been approved by the Provincial People's Council: Northwest Dung Quat Urban, Industrial and Service Area; Adjustment of Eastern Dung Quat Industrial Park; Dong Quat Mixed Service Area; Dung Quat II Industrial, Urban and Service Area, as a basis for carrying out the following procedures as requested by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council in Official Dispatch No. 155/HDND-KTNS dated September 17, 2024 on the order and procedures for submitting to the Provincial People's Council for decision on construction planning according to its authority.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province requested the Heads of departments, branches and localities to study the proposed contents of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Quang Ngai province to have timely solutions, proactively and actively support the Management Board to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, effectively support enterprises and investors to implement investment projects, production and business smoothly to fully promote the potential and advantages of Dung Quat Economic Zone in the coming time; especially, to effectively implement the State management work in the fields of planning, construction, management of resources, land and environment in the area.
“The Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Quang Ngai province is responsible for reviewing and evaluating comprehensively to develop the Project for the development of Dung Quat Economic Zone after 30 years of formation and development; directly collecting opinions from departments, branches, units, localities, and strategic investors to report to the Provincial People's Committee in 2024,” Mr. Giang directed.
Up to now, the implemented capital of investment projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks has reached about 12 billion USD, of which 256 projects have come into production and business operation. In the first 9 months of 2024, the industrial production value in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks is estimated to reach over 170,000 billion VND, contributing to the budget over 17,200 billion VND.
