
The National Assembly heard Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang, authorized by the Prime Minister, present the proposal on adjusting some contents of Resolution 53/2017/QH14 dated November 24, 2017, of the National Assembly on the feasibility study report of the land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement project for Long Thanh International Airport, and the Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh presented the verification report on this matter on the morning of October 26.
On the morning of the same day, after hearing the report presented by Le Quang Huy, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science , Technology and Environment, explaining, accepting, and revising the Draft Law on Water Resources (amended), the National Assembly proceeded to discuss in the plenary session some contents of the draft law that still had differing opinions.

The document includes content such as: principles of managing, protecting, regulating, distributing, developing, exploiting, and utilizing water resources; preventing, mitigating, and remedying water-related damage; protecting water resources and restoring water sources; regulating and distributing water resources; declaring, registering, and licensing water resources; using water economically, efficiently, and in a circular and reusable manner; and economic tools, policies, and resources for water resources. The submitting agency and the agency in charge of verification have coordinated to clarify some issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
Later that afternoon, the National Assembly heard a report presented by Hoang Thanh Tung, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee, explaining, receiving feedback, and revising the draft Law on Housing (amended).

Next, the National Assembly held a plenary session to discuss several issues on which there were differing opinions, particularly concerning the form of land use for commercial housing projects; renovation and reconstruction of apartment buildings; development of multi-story, multi-apartment housing for individuals; social housing built with public investment; construction of worker accommodation; and a thorough review and study of regulations on fire safety in mini-apartment buildings.
The submitting agency and the agency in charge of verification will coordinate to explain and clarify some issues raised by National Assembly deputies.
