The Trong Tro kindergarten school, recently handed over and put into use by Uniqlo and the Hope Foundation, serves 35 Hmong students and two teachers.
The Trong Tro branch school, part of Hoa Hue Kindergarten in Ho Bon commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, has just been inaugurated. The facility includes two classrooms, a kitchen, and separate male and female restrooms, with a total project value of over 1 billion VND.
Since August 2022, Uniqlo has held a T-shirt design contest called UTme! with the theme of Connecting Vietnam and Japan , attracting the participation of many young artists across the country. The 5 winning works were printed on T-shirts and sold at 4 stores: Uniqlo Hoan Kiem, Uniqlo Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach, Uniqlo Saigon Centre and Uniqlo Dong Khoi. All revenue from this collection up to the end of December 2023 was donated to Uniqlo and the Hope Fund to build schools.

Also on the inauguration day, Uniqlo Vietnam donated more than 4,000 products from the RE.UNIQLO program, including children's clothing, men's and women's jackets, and winter accessories (socks, gloves, scarves, blankets), to students, teachers, parents, and residents in Mu Cang Chai district, including Trong Tro school.
Mr. Nishida Hideki, General Director of Uniqlo Vietnam shared: "We are very pleased and happy to see the happy smiles of the students and teachers at Trong Tro school. Hopefully, this spacious classroom will help the students have better learning conditions and be more confident in the future."
