Journalist Minh Hien worked at many media outlets in Southern Vietnam, so through her life story, the book also provides material on the history of journalism during that period.

Journalist Minh Hien's life was closely intertwined with revolutionary journalism from a very young age. At the age of 13, she left her family to join the resistance, working at the Liberation Newspaper, the central organ of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam.

Journalist Minh Hien wrote for the newspaper from its first issue on December 20, 1964, to its last issue in July 1976 – the time when the Liberation newspaper completed its historical mission after the country's reunification. After that, following a period of cultural studies and working as an editor at the Ho Chi Minh City General Publishing House, journalist Minh Hien returned to journalism until the end of his life.

"Living Life to the Fullest" is over 550 pages long. This substantial size partly reflects her rich life and career, as well as the affection her family, friends, comrades, and colleagues have for her. The book is divided into four parts:

Part 2: "Hold My Hand" is Mr. Nguyen Ho's diary from 2013 to 2016, recording Ms. Minh Hien's final battle with illness, her last memories with her husband and children, and many friends and relatives.

Part 3: "Heaven Calls But I Don't Answer and 20 Other Stories" consists of articles/interviews by journalist Minh Hien about the portraits of many figures who have left their mark in various fields: Deputy Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, Heroic Pilot Nguyen Thanh Trung, writer Trang The Hy, businesswoman Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, businessman Ly Huy Sang...

Part 4: "Remembering a person, cherishing a profession" is an article written by many colleagues and friends about journalist Minh Hien with great respect.
