The State Bank of Vietnam launched its regional branch, State Bank of Vietnam Region 14, comprising Can Tho, Soc Trang , Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, and Vinh Long, with its headquarters located in Can Tho city.

On the morning of March 25th, in Can Tho city, the State Bank of Vietnam held a ceremony to announce the decision and launch the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14.
According to the decision, the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14 comprises the localities of Can Tho, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, and Vinh Long, with its headquarters located in Can Tho city.
Mr. Tran Quoc Ha, former director of the State Bank of Vietnam branch in Can Tho city, is appointed acting director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14.
Speaking at the event, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong stated that in implementing Resolution 18 of 2017 of the Politburo, the banking system has been streamlined, with 63 state-owned bank branches reorganized into 15 regional state-owned bank branches.
"The banking sector is one of the sectors that implemented restructuring very quickly and formally, from 1-3 across the entire system, including organizational structure, machinery, and system connections, all of which operate very efficiently without any bottlenecks."
Regarding personnel matters, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Bank has reviewed, evaluated, and basically arranged the positions, including appointing and assigning regional directors," Ms. Hong informed.
