THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE ORGANIZES THE FIRST CONFERENCE OF EXEMPLARY ADVANCED INDIVIDUALS (2025-2030)

On the afternoon of July 30, 2025, the Department of Finance held its first Conference of Outstanding Exemplars (2025-2030). Attending the conference were Mr. Le Tuan Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department; members of the Department's leadership team; heads and deputy heads of departments and units under the Department; and all civil servants, employees, and workers of the Department.

At the Conference, delegates heard a report summarizing the patriotic emulation movement and commendation work for the period 2020-2025; and the direction and tasks of emulation and commendation work for the period 2025-2030. Accordingly, during the period 2020-2025, the Department of Finance continuously strived to excellently complete its assigned tasks . It successfully organized and implemented emulation movements with the active participation of all civil servants, officials, and employees. Through emulation movements linked to the implementation of "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh ," it made an important contribution to the successful achievement of annual targets and tasks . During the period 2020-2025 , the Department of Finance advised the Provincial People's Committee on effectively managing state affairs regarding: socio -economic development plans; planning; Investment and development, business investment in Vietnam and business investment from Vietnam abroad; finance; state budget; borrowing and debt repayment of local governments (domestic and foreign); foreign aid to Vietnam and Vietnamese aid to foreign countries; fees, charges and other revenues of the state budget not managed by tax authorities under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee; public assets; finance for state financial funds outside the budget; accounting, independent auditing; pricing and financial service activities .

During the conference, delegates focused on clarifying several key points: “Promoting patriotic emulation linked to the implementation of tasks related to planning management, public investment, and socio-economic development”; “Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh among current civil servants” ; “ Emulating to improve the quality of advisory work in issuing mechanisms and policies in the field of state budget and finance, linked to the two-tiered local government organizational model”; “ Actively responding to emulation movements to strive for excellent performance in tasks related to strengthening the management and use of public assets when implementing the two-tiered local government model ”; “Solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of capital management for national target programs at the Lai Chau Provincial Department of Finance in the current period” …

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Le Tuan Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department, commended the achievements of collectives and individuals in the past period. He also requested that in the coming time, the departments and units under the Department continue to effectively carry out the work of disseminating and thoroughly understanding Ho Chi Minh's ideology on patriotic emulation; Directive No. 41-CT/TW , dated December 26, 2024, of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over emulation and reward work in the new situation; strengthen the education of patriotic traditions, national pride, solidarity, and self-reliance to further raise the awareness of Party members, civil servants, and workers about the position and role of emulation and reward work; and continue to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister. The focus should be on the "Nationwide Joint Effort to Build New Rural Areas" emulation movement. The movements "For the poor - leaving no one behind" ; "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to implement workplace culture" ... He expressed confidence that, with high determination , these exemplary models will continue to spread, inspiring civil servants, public employees , and workers to strongly respond to emulation movements, contributing to building a more prosperous and developed Lai Chau.

The conference launched the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030 with the theme: "Unity, democracy, discipline, responsibility, innovative thinking, and striving to excellently fulfill all tasks."
