This morning, November 9th, to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18th, 1930-2024), Lam Lang 1 residential area, Cam Thuy commune, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province, organized the "National Unity Day" and the "Military-Civilian Cultural Day"; and announced that the village has achieved the status of a model new rural area at level 2. Lam Lang 1 village currently has 127 households with 466 inhabitants. Last year, under the direct guidance of the commune's Fatherland Front Committee, the Party branch committee, and in close coordination with the village committee and member organizations, the residential area's Fatherland Front working committee successfully implemented its goals and tasks.
People have transformed their crop and livestock structures, applied science and technology to production; focused on investing and effectively exploiting potential and advantages to improve their material and spiritual lives. The average income of the people has reached over 65 million VND per person per year.
The multidimensional poverty rate decreased to 2.37%. Community regulations and conventions were developed and voluntarily implemented by residents; social vices were curbed. Regulations on civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals were strictly adhered to. The movement to build a learning society and socialize education was widely launched in the community. 100% of children of school age attended school.
Cultural, artistic, and sports activities were organized enthusiastically in the residential area. 127 out of 127 households achieved the status of "Cultural Family," representing 100%. Activities expressing gratitude, reciprocity, and mutual support were given attention. Environmental protection, climate change adaptation, the creation of a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment; adherence to the law, ensuring social order and safety; promoting democracy, actively participating in social monitoring and criticism, and contributing to building a clean and strong grassroots political system... were effectively implemented.

Identifying the construction of model new rural villages at level 2 as one of the key political tasks in leadership, direction, and management in 2024, the Village Development Board has focused on implementing all 14 criteria for building model new rural villages at level 2 with specific contents and tasks. Lam Lang 1 residential area has set many goals and tasks for the coming period; launching emulation campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2025.
Speaking to congratulate the people of Lam Lang 1 residential area, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ha Sy Dong, requested that Lam Lang 1 village in particular, and Cam Thuy commune in general, continue to build national unity and strengthen social consensus.
Promote and improve the quality of emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front and its member organizations, including the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with building model new rural villages at level 2.
Cadres and Party members should set a leading example in implementing activities and movements; pay attention to, encourage, and support the local people in boosting production and business, developing the strengths of the locality, and contributing to improving the quality of life.
Paying attention to and caring for the lives of people in difficult circumstances; creating conditions for people to participate and contribute heartfelt and responsible opinions to socio-economic development programs and maintaining national defense and security in the locality.

On this occasion, leaders of the province, Cam Lo district, and Cam Thuy commune presented many gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and households facing difficult circumstances in Lam Lang 1 residential area. The Chairman of the Cam Lo District People's Committee presented the decision recognizing Lam Lang 1 village as a model new rural area at level 2 in 2024, and donated a welfare project worth 70 million VND to the locality. The Cam Thuy Commune People's Committee commended and rewarded outstanding collectives and individuals with excellent achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in Lam Lang 1 residential area.
