The document states that, in order to strengthen the management of contract vehicles transporting students and to better serve the transportation needs of students in the province during the 2024-2025 school year, ensuring traffic order and safety, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province directs as follows:

The Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of districts and cities direct schools to only sign transportation contracts for picking up and dropping off students with passenger transport businesses that have been granted transport business licenses and permits as prescribed.

Regularly coordinate with parent associations and students in managing and supervising contracted vehicles transporting students to ensure they meet all regulations.

We are determined not to sign contracts or to terminate transportation contracts with vehicles or drivers that do not meet the necessary conditions. Absolutely no use of vehicles carrying more passengers than permitted, vehicles that have exceeded their service life, or vehicles with expired technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificates will be permitted.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police to direct the Traffic Police and Public Order Police forces to patrol, inspect, and strictly handle violations by contract vehicles transporting students that do not meet safety conditions, lack proper identification badges, and do not have transportation contracts or lists of students being picked up and dropped off as required.
