In recent times, the Provincial Employment Service Center has intensified its activities in job counseling and placement, effectively organizing job fairs and employment exchanges, and successfully addressing unemployment insurance policies for workers. This has affirmed the center's position in connecting supply and demand, contributing to helping workers find stable employment, while also helping businesses promote their image and attract labor.

To effectively provide job counseling, market information, and job placement support for workers, the Provincial Employment Service Center has focused on disseminating timely and widespread labor market information through various forms and channels. This has ensured the widespread dissemination of the province's labor market information, guaranteeing transparency and comprehensive data on labor supply and demand reaching even the smallest villages and communes in the province. This helps workers access labor market information, labor and employment policies, and seize timely and stable employment opportunities.
In 2023, the center focused on contacting, working with, and collecting labor market information from 663 businesses in the area, including 68 businesses that charged fees. It processed and provided labor market information through mass media; drafted and distributed 600 copies of labor market information and recruitment notices; 150 banners; and 15,000 leaflets, posters, and other materials for display, posting, and distribution to districts, cities, towns, communes, wards, and townships, as well as directly providing them to units, businesses, and workers.
In particular, through the Facebook page "Jobs in Quang Tri" , the Facebook and Zalo pages of the collective and individuals belonging to the center have effectively provided information on labor market trends and related information to units, businesses, localities, and workers.
As a result, approximately 17,500 pieces of labor information were collected. The center analyzed, processed, and provided information on labor and related policies, laws of the State, and relevant ministries and agencies regarding labor, employment, vocational training, and unemployment insurance to 41,600 individuals and organizations, achieving 104% of the 2023 plan and increasing by 4.52% compared to 2022. In the first seven months of 2024 alone, the center collected, processed, and provided information on labor and related information on labor, vocational training, and unemployment insurance to 24,550 individuals and organizations, achieving 62.9% of the 2024 plan.
In addition, job counseling is given attention and implemented, along with strengthening counseling activities at the central office, job exchange centers, and representative offices. In the first seven months of 2024, the center provided counseling on employment, vocational training, and labor-related policies to 17,625 people, including 9,525 job counseling sessions; 3,100 vocational counseling sessions; and 5,000 labor policy counseling sessions.
The center also organizes regular job fairs at the center, coordinates job fairs, job days, and communication sessions on labor and employment policies and career guidance in districts and schools. At the same time, it focuses on providing job counseling and vocational training advice to those receiving unemployment benefits.
In the first seven months of 2024, the center introduced and provided domestic job opportunities for 1,616 people, achieving 70% of the 2024 plan. 25 job fairs were organized, including 13 regular fairs at the center, 3 regular fairs at the representative office in Quang Tri town, 3 fairs in Huong Hoa district, 1 specialized fair, and 5 online job fairs. As a result, 130 units and businesses registered to participate in direct recruitment at the job fairs. Approximately 1,650 workers participated in the activities at the fairs, of which 571 found jobs within the province and nationwide.
The implementation of the unemployment insurance policy has been effective. By July 30, 2024, the center had received unemployment insurance applications from 3,012 workers, of which 2,220 were submitted through the National Public Service Portal (accounting for 73.7%). The center processed applications and advised the leadership of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to issue decisions granting unemployment benefits to 2,733 workers, with a total disbursement of approximately 49.1 billion VND. It also provided job counseling and placement services to 9,788 workers and assisted 95 workers receiving unemployment benefits with vocational training. The overall rate of job placement and vocational training for workers receiving unemployment benefits reached 8.6% of the total number of workers receiving unemployment benefits.
In the coming period, the Provincial Employment Service Center will continue to improve the effectiveness of counseling services at the center, at job fairs, representative offices, and at local facilities. It will operate both in-person and online job fairs. It will also intensify efforts to find, select, and coordinate with units, organizations, and businesses in the province, nationwide, and in reputable and high-quality overseas labor markets to introduce Quang Tri workers to employment opportunities.
At the same time, continue to implement the policy of closely monitoring the situation at the grassroots level to provide advice and referrals for domestic employment, overseas labor export, overseas study, foreign language training, vocational training, and other related tasks and targets. Provide labor market information, advice, and referrals for jobs within the province, domestically, overseas labor export, overseas study, and vocational training at the center. Organize regular job fairs at the center and the satellite job fairs in Huong Hoa and Quang Tri town. Organize mobile and specialized job fairs based on the recruitment needs of businesses.
In the last five months of 2024, the center aims to provide counseling on employment, vocational training, and the Party's guidelines, State policies and laws related to labor, employment, vocational training, and unemployment insurance to approximately 12,000 people. It will also facilitate job placement for 1,000 people, including 60-70 workers who will be sent abroad for employment.
The organization facilitated recruitment, vocational training, and foreign language skills training for workers participating in overseas employment programs, and facilitated vocational training for 150 trainees. It continued to advise on and effectively implement unemployment insurance policies. It provided counseling and job placement services for unemployed workers receiving unemployment benefits, achieving a success rate of 8% or higher. Fifteen job fairs were successfully organized.
