In the context of increasingly deep international economic integration, developing the domestic market to stimulate domestic consumption has created more opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to develop, expand distribution channels, and give consumers the chance to use high-quality Vietnamese goods. Within the province, the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign is becoming more in-depth, along with improved quality of domestic goods and the implementation of trade promotion programs, creating a widespread impact for Vietnamese products.

Co.opmart Viet Tri supermarket offers a wide variety of goods, including domestically produced agricultural products, with promotional programs and discounts to stimulate the consumption of Vietnamese goods.
The province's commercial infrastructure is constantly being modernized through investment. In addition to the renovated, upgraded, and newly built local markets, various forms of commerce such as convenience stores, supermarkets, and shopping malls are also developing, offering new consumer experiences and opening up opportunities for businesses and cooperatives to sell their goods.
Activities supporting businesses and cooperatives in the province to participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and business networking conferences to introduce, promote, and market their products to consumers; connecting the consumption of the province's OCOP products with other provinces and cities nationwide; and establishing Vietnamese product sales points and OCOP product sales points have contributed to boosting the consumption of local products in particular and Vietnamese goods in general.
In 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade supported the establishment of 6 Vietnamese product sales points under the name "Proud of Vietnamese Products - The Quintessence of Vietnamese Products" in Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, Tan Son, Cam Khe, Yen Lap districts and Phu Tho town.
In 2023, the Vien Hau store (located in Thanh Thuy town, Thanh Thuy district) received support to establish a Vietnamese product sales point. Mr. Nguyen Khac Vien, the store owner, stated: “Our store received partial support from the Department of Industry and Trade regarding facilities and advice on how to arrange and manage sales scientifically according to the criteria of a Vietnamese product sales point. As a result, the store is neatly and attractively displayed, making it easy for customers to choose essential products. Our revenue has increased by about 15% compared to before. To improve business efficiency and meet customer needs, we import and distribute Vietnamese branded goods, ensuring compliance with legal regulations for goods circulating in the market, and prioritizing products recognized as high-quality Vietnamese goods.”
Along with creating a favorable environment for development, departments, agencies, and localities provide various forms of support to enhance the competitiveness of businesses and products, such as: supporting businesses, cooperatives, and household businesses in building product brands, product codes, and barcodes; implementing training and guidance on digital skills, methods of introducing and promoting products, customer data management software, and online sales promotion on e-commerce websites and trading platforms. This helps businesses establish their brands, improve quality and design, increase competitiveness in the domestic market, and aim for export.
In 2023 alone, the Department of Industry and Trade supported the development and registration of trademarks for 3 products and the application of electronic stamps and QR codes for 11 units with a total of 140,000 stamps. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development supported 180,000 OCOP product management stamps, 90,000 product labels, and 20,000 sets of product packaging, helping to upgrade and standardize OCOP products.
Supermarkets, distribution centers, and retailers throughout the province are also actively implementing various activities to stimulate demand for Vietnamese goods.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hien, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Viet Tri Supermarket, said: “The supermarket has over 10,000 items on display, including products from fresh and processed foods, household goods, clothing, cosmetics, etc., with Vietnamese goods accounting for about 90%. Every year, the supermarket implements many major programs and events with deep discounts to stimulate consumption of Vietnamese goods and increase sales.”
These programs have contributed to changing consumer perceptions and behaviors, encouraging the prioritization of Vietnamese goods, promoting strong development of the domestic market, ensuring a balance between supply and demand of essential goods, and contributing to stabilizing prices of goods circulating in the market.
To promote Vietnamese goods, businesses and production and trading establishments need to proactively diversify their products with competitive prices; create linkages to obtain the most reasonable costs at each stage to help products reach domestic consumers quickly and effectively; and closely monitor market developments to have specific production plans and balance output appropriately for each product.
