The deployment of training on the use of the FRA500 equipment demonstrates TMP's commitment to upgrading its core capabilities in transformer testing and maintenance. The FRA500 is a frequency response analyzer designed to assess the mechanical integrity of transformers, enabling early detection of hard-to-observe fault types such as core deformation/movement, core ground faults, lamination short circuits, winding deformation, winding loop short circuits or open windings, and winding damage or displacement.
The device boasts a wide frequency range from 0.1-32MHz, weighs only 4.9kg, and supports digital connectivity for digitizing experimental data. These factors help TMP move closer to its goal of building a smart equipment monitoring system and predicting failure trends based on data.

The training course was directly led by expert Dino Karakas, representative of DV Power, a brand of power testing equipment used in over 120 countries. Participants were trained on equipment connection methods and the operation of accessories such as C-clamps, test cables, reference cables, and calibration boxes. In addition, the expert also highlighted common connection errors that can lead to inaccurate measurement results.

The training focuses on graph analysis using DV-FRA software, where trainees are guided on how to evaluate frequency ranges related to the magnetic core, windings, and transition region. From this, the technical team not only learns how to "measure" but also gains a deeper understanding of the data's meaning, supporting forecasting and digitally assessing equipment condition.
Through this training course, the testing team at the Electromechanical Service and Repair Center has gained a solid professional foundation to apply the FRA500 equipment to the on-site inspection and evaluation of transformers. This is considered a significant step in TMP's digital transformation strategy, contributing to improved equipment reliability, optimized maintenance, and the goal of building a modern, proactive, and sustainably developing enterprise.
