According to city statistics, as of the end of August 2025, total state budget revenue in Hai Phong reached VND 131,252.7 billion, equivalent to 88.39% of the city People's Council's projected target and an increase of 28.52% compared to the same period in 2024.
In terms of revenue structure, domestic revenue reached VND 73,540.1 billion, equivalent to 98.47% of the projected amount and a significant increase of 35.53% compared to the same period in 2024, demonstrating the strong momentum of domestic production, business, and service activities.
Revenue from import and export activities reached VND 56,161.8 billion, equivalent to 84.33% of the projected figure, an increase of 25.41%.
At this pace, Hai Phong is highly likely to soon complete and surpass its 2025 budget revenue target.
However, total local budget expenditure in the city over the past eight months reached approximately 39,750 billion VND, only 55.46% of the annual budget estimate. Of this, development investment expenditure reached 17,681.9 billion VND, equivalent to 49.96% of the estimate; and recurrent expenditure reached 21,762.2 billion VND, equivalent to 66.25% of the estimate. The data shows that the spending progress, especially development investment expenditure, is still slow compared to requirements.
To balance revenue and expenditure effectively, in the last months of the year, the city maintained its revenue growth momentum and aggressively disbursed public investment capital, especially in key projects such as transportation infrastructure, urban development, and digital transformation... in order to promptly and effectively utilize capital in the economy , promote growth, and improve infrastructure.
