Hai Phong budget revenue grows impressively, reaching over 131 trillion VND

Hai Phong's budget collection over the past 8 months has recorded many outstanding results, especially domestic revenue which is likely to soon complete the yearly plan.

According to information from the City Statistics, by the end of August 2025, the total state budget revenue in Hai Phong reached 131,252.7 billion VND, equal to 88.39% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and increased by 28.52% over the same period in 2024.

In the revenue structure, domestic revenue reached VND 73,540.1 billion, equal to 98.47% of the estimate and increased by 35.53% over the same period in 2024, showing the strong resilience of domestic production, business and service activities.

Revenue from import-export activities reached VND 56,161.8 billion, equal to 84.33% of the estimate, up 25.41%.

With this progress, Hai Phong is likely to soon complete and exceed the 2025 budget revenue target.

However, total local budget expenditure in the past 8 months in the city reached about 39,750 billion VND, only 55.46% of the year's estimate. Of which, development investment expenditure reached 17,681.9 billion VND, equal to 49.96% of the estimate; regular expenditure reached 21,762.2 billion VND, equal to 66.25% of the estimate. The data shows that the progress of expenditure, especially development investment expenditure, is still slow compared to the requirements.

To balance revenue and expenditure well, in the last months of the year, the city maintained revenue growth momentum and resolutely disbursed public investment capital, especially in key projects such as transport infrastructure, urban areas, digital transformation... to promptly and effectively use capital sources in the economy , promote growth and complete infrastructure.
