(Chinhphu.vn) - At 10:40 PM local time on July 30 (0:10 AM on July 31, Hanoi time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Palam military airport in New Delhi, beginning their state visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation at Palam Airport, on the Indian side were Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margerita, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, and the Director of Protocol of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs; on the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vietnamese Consul General in Mumbai Le Quang Bien, and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in India.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to India aims to reaffirm Vietnam's consistent policy of valuing the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with India. During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to hold talks and meetings with high-ranking Indian leaders such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Speaker of the Upper House Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Speaker of the Lower House Om Birla.

The Prime Minister will also meet with leaders of several Indian political parties; attend forums and seminars with businesses from both countries; receive leading Indian economic corporations; deliver a policy speech; visit the Embassy and meet with representatives of the Vietnamese community in India… During the visit, both sides will consolidate and strengthen traditional areas of cooperation, while expanding cooperation in areas where both sides have potential and strengths such as electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, green economy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, new materials, and essential minerals… The visit contributes to consolidating political trust, deepening multifaceted cooperation, and making the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership more substantive and effective in politics, diplomacy, security, defense, economics, trade, and investment. This also provides an opportunity for the two countries to enhance sharing on regional and international security and strategic issues, and to reaffirm mutual support in multilateral forums of common interest.
