During his trip, despite having to travel long distances and move between four different cities in both Australia and New Zealand, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh still had more than 50 activities.

At the Special Summit commemorating the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Australia relations, leaders once again emphasized the importance and value of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; and set out major directions to promote comprehensive cooperation in all fields in the coming period.

The conference adopted two important documents: the “Melbourne Declaration – Partnership for the Future” and the “ASEAN-Australia Leaders’ Vision Statement – Partnership for Peace and Prosperity,” which will serve as the basis for implementing the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the future.

Attending the ASEAN-Australia Summits, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed "3 breakthroughs, 3 enhancements, and 3 commonalities" in ASEAN-Australia relations; these were highly appreciated by the leaders; and many of the contents were formalized in writing.

Notably, during his attendance at the Conference, the Prime Minister held bilateral meetings with all the heads of delegations attending the conference, including leaders from ASEAN countries, Timor Leste, Australia, New Zealand, and the ASEAN Secretary-General.

The meetings took place in a sincere and open atmosphere, but the discussions were highly substantive, aimed at strengthening friendship and promoting cooperation that was increasingly in-depth, substantial, and effective.

The Prime Minister's official visits to Australia and New Zealand were also successful in every respect, marking an important milestone in relations between Vietnam and the two countries.

Vietnam and Australia upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; while with New Zealand, both sides agreed to promote bilateral relations to a new level.

While the two sides outlined a "six-point approach" with Australia, the two sides proposed a framework encompassed within three key terms: "stability and consolidation," "enhancement and expansion," and "acceleration and breakthrough."

In particular, during the visit to the two countries, the two sides signed nearly 30 cooperation documents in the fields of education, training, innovation, aviation, energy, mining, trade, investment, finance, banking, agriculture, environment, labor and employment, justice, and defense…

The Prime Minister's working visit to Australia and New Zealand concluded successfully, practically implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress on continuing to strengthen and deepen relations with partners, especially with Strategic Partners, Comprehensive Partners, important partners and traditional friends.
