The 2024 International Food Festival will take place over two days, December 7-8, at the Diplomatic Quarter (298 Kim Ma, Ba Dinh, Hanoi), with the participation of more than 60 countries and territories.

This year's festival, themed "Gastronomy of Unity - Connecting Cuisine," is an opportunity to introduce and promote the culinary culture of various countries, while also fostering and celebrating the cultural beauty of Vietnam, promoting cultural diplomacy, enhancing the national image, and further expanding and promoting international cooperation.

According to Mr. Hoang Thai Ha, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Department of Diplomatic Service, the International Food Festival has been held 11 times since 2014, creating an international-level cultural and culinary exchange event that attracts numerous embassies, foreign cultural centers, international friends, provincial and city foreign affairs departments, businesses, sponsors, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in this event.

Given the scale and scope of the Festival, the program is an opportunity to introduce Vietnam and its people to international friends, and a chance for Vietnamese businesses to promote their brands, products, business activities, and services to international friends and program participants.

"This year, the International Food Festival, themed 'Culinary Connections,' will not only celebrate the richness and diversity of global cuisine but also emphasize that food is a common language – where people from different cultures find common ground. Through each dish, we will not only share the essence of culinary flavors but also spread stories about the history and traditions of each nation," said Mr. Hoang Thai Ha.

Many elaborate dishes were brought to the presentation of the 2024 International Food Festival by artisans and "5-star" chefs.

Culinary artist and expert Le Thi Thiet affirmed that the 2024 International Food Festival is not only a "feast" of diverse cultures but also tells participants emotionally charged stories through culinary dishes from many countries and regions.

"Vietnamese cuisine will be a highlight, showcasing an elevated level with its rich and diverse flavors. Through this, we will both preserve tradition and innovate to suit international tastes. Hopefully, each participant will experience the harmonious blend of flavors, creating a connection between cultures through fascinating stories about food," shared artisan Le Thi Thiet.

Unlike previous years, the 2024 International Food Festival is not just a place to showcase the unique dishes of Vietnam, but also offers a one-of-a-kind culinary experience with over 70 international food stalls from approximately 60 countries, featuring elaborate food demonstrations, lively beer festival activities, games with prizes from sponsors, and countless unique experiences such as: Culinary Passport, Food on One Plate, Kitchen of Five Continents…

Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy world-famous dishes from cuisines such as Russia and Italy. Vietnam will showcase pho, spring rolls, and many other regional culinary specialties.
