The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City has just announced information about the 6th session (regular session at the end of the year) of the 10th term City People's Council, term 2021-2026.
Previously, on November 26, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council issued an official dispatch summoning delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to attend the 6th session (the regular session at the end of the year).
Accordingly, the meeting will take place over two days, December 9 and 10. At this meeting, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council will review, discuss and approve reports, proposals and resolutions on important issues of the city, contributing to promoting economic growth and ensuring social security in 2026 and the period 2026 - 2031.
Conduct questioning and answering activities to ensure the right people and the right content; be clear, specific, and consistent with the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people; clarify existing problems and limitations in state management and propose solutions to overcome them to ensure local socio-economic development.
Organize the commendation and award of the "For the cause of building and developing Ho Chi Minh City" Medal to the City People's Council delegates for the 2021-2026 term; review personnel work (if any).
On the first day, the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City listened to a report on the socio-economic situation in 2025 and tasks and solutions in 2026; a report on the implementation of the 2025 theme "Focusing on streamlining the apparatus to be streamlined - strong - efficient - effective - efficient; promoting digital transformation; Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly ; fundamentally resolving the city's difficulties and backlogs"; a report on the results of practicing thrift and fighting waste in 2025...
The City People's Court reports on trial work in 2025 and directions and tasks in 2026; the City People's Procuracy reports on prosecution work results in 2025 and directions and tasks in 2026.
Review and approve reports of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on mechanisms, policies, public investment and urgent issues under its authority.
On the first working day, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee will give a directive speech.
On the second working day, the Director of the Department of Food Safety will question and answer questions about the effectiveness of state management, inspection, examination and handling of administrative violations; and the Director of the Department of Construction will question and answer questions about the progress of key projects, reducing traffic congestion, developing social housing and granting apartment ownership certificates.
