
Comrades Hứa Tân Hưng, Principal of the Provincial Political School; Lưu Thị Sim, Vice Principal of the Provincial Political School; and Nguyễn Thị Vân Hằng, Vice Principal of the Provincial Political School, co-chaired the seminar.
Attending the seminar were representatives from the leadership of Lao Cai city, Bat Xat district, and Bao Thang district; and lecturers currently working at the Provincial Political School.


According to the report presented at the seminar, since the implementation of Project No. 02-DA/TCT, the Provincial Political School has sent 10 lecturers to conduct field research for a limited period (from 3 to 6 months) in several communes and wards in Lao Cai city and the districts of Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Bao Thang.
During their assigned field research assignments at the grassroots level, lecturers are given specific tasks by the Party committee and local government; they participate in and observe the activities of the Party committee and local government; they directly attend several Party committee meetings, People's Council sessions, commune People's Committee meetings, village and neighborhood meetings, and activities of the Fatherland Front and other grassroots organizations. Lecturers proactively and actively learn about socio -economic development activities at the grassroots level, visiting residential areas and production and business zones to learn about local economic development models, and participating in local cultural, artistic, and sports activities and events.

After their field trips, lecturers accumulate additional knowledge and supplement their teaching and scientific research with rich and vivid practical materials; they also hone their knowledge, skills, and experience in management, administration, handling situations, and interacting with citizens. At the same time, they propose and recommend to competent authorities amendments, additions, and promulgation of policies and laws to meet the requirements of leadership, management, and promoting sustainable development at the grassroots level…

At the seminar, delegates discussed the advantages and disadvantages faced by lecturers when participating in long-term field research, developing and implementing long-term field research plans; the effectiveness of long-term field research; the role of departments and faculties in long-term field research activities; and proposed recommendations for developing the project, contributing to the effective development of human resources at the university.

In addition, the seminar devoted considerable time to evaluating the coordination and management of lecturers conducting field research in various localities.


In his closing remarks at the seminar, Comrade Hua Tan Hung, Principal of the Provincial Political School, highly appreciated the opinions of the lecturers and leaders of the localities whose lecturers participated in the long-term practical research. He also affirmed that the Board of Directors of the Provincial Political School would incorporate, synthesize, and revise these opinions to compile a proceedings volume, contributing to the adjustment of the regulations of Project 02 to suit the actual situation and maximize its effectiveness in the future.

The seminar provided an opportunity for officials and lecturers of the Provincial Political School to evaluate the leadership and guidance in implementing Project 02, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and difficulties, and drawing lessons learned from sending lecturers for fixed-term practical research at the grassroots level. This also helped to enhance the knowledge and skills of the unit's officials and lecturers, contributing to the successful fulfillment of assigned tasks.
