At the event, 100 health insurance cards were distributed to poor and near-poor households and vulnerable people in Yen Binh commune. Each card is valid for 6 months, helping people reduce the burden of medical expenses, especially with the Lunar New Year of the Horse approaching.

In 2025, Lao Cai province received support from the central government to provide over 5,100 health insurance cards. Along with resources mobilized from businesses, organizations, and individuals in the area, the province has distributed over 12,000 cards to disadvantaged people since the beginning of the year. As a result, the expansion of health insurance coverage has achieved many positive results, with the current health insurance coverage rate reaching 89.35%.

The program "Giving Health Insurance Cards to People in Difficult Circumstances - Bringing a Warm Tet to the Poor in the Year of the Horse" is a deeply humane activity, clearly demonstrating the Party and State's policy of "leaving no one behind." It is also an opportunity to mobilize the joint efforts of the entire Social Insurance sector, businesses, organizations, and individuals in the community to support vulnerable people in better accessing healthcare services and reducing financial risks in the event of illness or disease.
