
Many outstanding gong performances were showcased at the opening ceremony of the 1st Lam Dong Province Gong Club Festival, 2025.
This is a practical activity in response to the 20th anniversary of Vietnam's Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), and also an event with profound political , cultural, and social significance, contributing to honoring the value of the Central Highlands Gong Culture Space - a masterpiece of oral tradition and intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.

Over 500 artisans and performers participated in the first Lam Dong Province Gong Club Festival in 2025, dressed in traditional costumes reflecting the identity of their respective ethnic groups.
The festival was attended by 15 delegations, with more than 500 artisans from ethnic groups such as Mnong, Ma, Ede, Thai, Tay, Co Ho, Churu, Ragla, Cham… from various localities in Lam Dong province.

The number of artisans and performers is becoming younger, encompassing a wide range of ages, demonstrating the enduring influence of traditional gong culture passed down through generations.
With the theme "Colors Converge and Spread," the First Lam Dong Province Gong Club Festival, 2025, aims to raise awareness and responsibility in preserving, conserving, and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in the province. It is also an opportunity to connect culture with community tourism development, contributing to socio -economic development and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
This is also a favorable opportunity for groups of artisans and performers to meet, interact, exchange, and learn from each other's experiences; creating opportunities to promote and introduce the image of the country, its people, culture, tourism, and unique cultural heritage of the localities to domestic and international audiences.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan said that after the merger, Lam Dong has the largest natural area in the country with over 24,200 km2 and a population of nearly 3.9 million people. The province is home to 49 ethnic groups living together, creating a rich, diverse, unique, and distinctive culture.

The Central Highlands Gong Culture Space is a unique intangible cultural heritage, recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2005.
The Central Highlands Gong Culture Space is a vibrant and diverse cultural space, rich in the identity of the ethnic minorities of the Central Highlands, closely linked to community rituals and activities, reflecting profound spirituality, and serving as a symbol connecting people with deities and their origins.
