General Secretary To Lam and his wife leave for an official visit to Finland

On October 20, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi for an official visit to Finland from October 20 to 22.

At the invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, departed from Hanoi for an official visit to the Republic of Finland from October 20-22.

The official delegation included Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security ; Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, and others.

This is the first visit by a General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam to Finland since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973.

Following a series of vibrant high-level diplomatic activities since the beginning of the year, General Secretary To Lam's visit to Finland is clear evidence of the independent, self-reliant, multilateral, diversified, proactive, and comprehensive international integration foreign policy, and is also an important diplomatic activity aimed at promoting the implementation of Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation.
