This event marks a strategic step, concretizing Plan No. 1231/KH-UBND of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to implement the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy and the Semiconductor Industry Human Resources Development Program to 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the city.

With the increasingly important role of the semiconductor and electronics industries, establishing an effective coordination mechanism is essential.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized the importance of the Alliance, expecting it to become a "common home". Here, members will cooperate closely, share responsibilities, promote scientific research, technology transfer and especially train a "golden generation of human resources" for the semiconductor industry of Ho Chi Minh City.

The alliance was established based on the proposal of the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Industry Association (HSIA), bringing together businesses, training facilities, research institutes and related organizations, aiming at the goal of coordinating the development of the semiconductor and electronics industry in Vietnam.

The main directions of activities of the Alliance will focus on sharing and cooperating in exchanging technical and technological information; coordinating the registration and implementation of research topics; co-publishing science and registering intellectual property; participating in training and developing human resources; proposing technology applications and transfers; promoting international cooperation...

The establishment of this Alliance is expected to be a strong driving force, helping Ho Chi Minh City realize its goal of becoming Vietnam's leading semiconductor human resource training and research center.

In the context of the national strategy aiming to train at least 50,000 high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry by 2030, with a vision to 2050, Ho Chi Minh City was assigned a target of about 9,000 human resources.

This force mainly focuses on key areas such as microchip design, chip manufacturing and related technology industries.
