Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requested departments, branches and localities to step up propaganda about fire and explosion risks, and train escape and firefighting skills for officials, civil servants and workers.
Commune-level People's Committees must synchronously deploy fire prevention and fighting solutions according to the guidance of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, clearly defining the responsibilities of each department and office, and not leaving the situation of "blank assignment" to the local police. Localities must review and count houses that combine production and business, resolutely handle violations of fire prevention and fighting, and prevent fires from spreading and becoming large fires.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requested to strengthen guidance for householders and facility owners to implement technical standards in the construction and renovation of individual houses; survey areas that do not ensure traffic infrastructure and water sources for fire fighting; coordinate the implementation of the Project "Building a communication system, reporting fire prevention and fighting incidents of the Ministry of Public Security " to ensure that fire prevention and fighting data is fully updated.
The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the police, departments and organizations to strengthen fire prevention and fighting inspections for houses combined with production and business, to be completed before December 31. In particular, the key contents that need to be implemented are: Propagating fire prevention and fighting, instructing escape skills. For establishments that do not ensure safety, they must request to temporarily stop operations. At the same time, replicate the model of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Team", "Public Fire Fighting Point", ensuring 100% of houses combined with business participate... Localities must build and strengthen grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces, ensuring "four on-site" equipment operates effectively.
At the same time, strengthen propaganda of fire prevention and fighting skills on media, organize training for People's Committees at commune level in state management of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue.
On December 5, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed an official dispatch regarding the fire on Tran Hung Dao Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward (HCMC).
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to direct thoughtful visits, timely encouragement, material and spiritual support, and create the best conditions to help stabilize the housing and life of the victims' families; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to urgently investigate the cause of the fire, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; and strictly handle violations (if any).
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police are investigating and strictly handling fires and violations of fire prevention regulations.
