Over 10,000 students trained in environment and sustainable energy

Over 10,000 students and 110 lecturers will be trained on environment and sustainable energy at vocational training institutions in 2025 - 2026.

The Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province and Kenan Foundation Asia (Thailand) jointly implemented the project “For a green planet and AI Education – Creating the future”. The aim is to improve the capacity of lecturers and students at vocational training institutions in Bac Ninh province in the fields of energy saving, environmental protection and sustainable development.

The project is implemented with three main components:

Organize training for 110 lecturers and 10,560 students at colleges and vocational schools. In the first year, 50 lecturers and 6,200 students in Bac Ninh will be trained; in the second year of the project, 60 lecturers and 4,360 students in Hanoi and Bac Ninh will participate in training. Training topics include energy saving, renewable energy, electronic waste management, the 3R model (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle), and integrating environmental education into teaching methods;

Through hands-on training sessions, interactive activities and Green Energy Camp Days, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge into practice and develop innovative solutions for the environment;

Establish and maintain a professional learning community to exchange experiences between lecturers and experts, support the effective implementation of project-based learning (PBL) models around the topic of environmental protection suitable for the Southeast Asian context.
