In one week, Vietnam has two more beauty queens named Ky Duyen.

The Miss Tourism Vietnam Global 2024 final took place on the evening of September 21st in Hai Phong, with the participation of the top 40 finalists. As a result, Vo Cao Ky Duyen (born in 2005, from Hai Phong) was crowned the winner.

Vo Cao Ky Duyen, 1.75m tall with measurements of 84-60-90cm, is currently a student at Vietnam Maritime University. Upon becoming the new Miss Vietnam, she received the crown and a prize of a car worth 3.5 billion VND, earning the right to compete in Miss Supranational 2025.

In the final night, Ky Duyen was praised for performing relatively well in the traditional Vietnamese dress, swimsuit, and evening gown segments. In the top 5 Q&A round, the beauty queen answered bilingually about the role of local cuisine in attracting international tourists.

On social media, Vo Cao Ky Duyen's coronation caused a stir among viewers. Many were delighted that within just 7 days, two beauties named Ky Duyen became new beauty queens (Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 on September 14th).

Besides the positive feedback, some viewers commented that Ky Duyen wasn't truly outstanding. Her beauty was also deemed unsuitable for the criteria of Miss Supranational. In the Q&A segment, she was criticized for "reciting" the answer rather than delivering a truly excellent response.

Previously, when registering to participate in the Miss Tourism Vietnam Global pageant, Vo Cao Ky Duyen attracted attention with her elegant beauty and outstanding height. Although she had only taken catwalk lessons for two months before the competition, Ky Duyen progressed rapidly.

Supermodel Hoang Thuy - Ky Duyen's catwalk instructor - congratulated her student after the final night: "When you came to me, you were a blank page, walking the catwalk in high heels for the first time, participating in a beauty pageant for the first time. Sometimes I scolded you a lot, but you tried very hard, improved, and practiced diligently."
