On the afternoon of July 15, International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University) announced the results of the eligibility for admission by direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (method 01).
Specifically, in 2025, there will be 9 candidates nationwide admitted by direct admission, with priority given to admission to this school according to the Ministry's regulations.
The list of qualified candidates announced by the school does not take into account the requirement of having graduated from high school. The school will check this requirement when receiving the candidate's application for admission.

Subjects of direct admission and admission to the International University according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training include:
Candidates winning first, second, and third prizes in the national excellent student selection exam; candidates winning first, second, and third prizes in the international excellent student selection exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training;
Candidates winning first, second and third prizes in national science and technology competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; Candidates winning first, second and third prizes in international science and technology competitions sent by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The time of winning the above awards is valid for no more than 3 years from the time of direct admission.
In addition, this method also applies to candidates who are ethnic minorities with very few people according to current regulations of the Government and candidates from 20 poor border and island districts in the Southwest region; or candidates who have had a permanent residence of 3 years or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in poor districts (boarding students for ethnic minorities are calculated based on their permanent residence) according to regulations of the Government and the Prime Minister ; or candidates who are foreigners must meet the language proficiency standards according to the requirements of the training program and major in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
These subjects must meet the condition of having an average score of 8.0 or higher in math or English in grades 10, 11, and 12.

The salary of graduates from International University surpasses other member schools of Ho Chi Minh City National University such as University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences, University of Social Sciences & Humanities, Information Technology, Economics - Law.
