Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry appoints another vice principal

This afternoon (May 28), Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry held a ceremony to announce the resolutions of the University Council on the appointment and reappointment of Vice Rectors. Specifically, the reappointment of Dr. Tran Dinh Ly as Vice Rector and the appointment of Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tai Huan as Vice Rector.

Before being appointed Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tai Huan (46 years old) held positions such as: Head of Food Biochemistry Department, Head of Food Technology Department, Head of Chemical and Food Technology Department. Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tai Huan has achieved many outstanding achievements in teaching and scientific research. He has had many scientific research works, published 25 scientific articles in the Web of Science/Scopus journal category. He graduated with a PhD in 2009 from Hamburg University of Technology (Germany) and was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2014.

Dr. Tran Dinh Ly was appointed Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry for the first time in 2019. Before his appointment, Dr. Tran Dinh Ly held the following positions: Deputy, Head of Financial Planning Department, Head of Student Affairs Department and Director of Student Support and Business Relations Center, Head of Training Department. From 2019 to present, Dr. Tran Dinh Ly has held the position of Vice Principal and Director of Ninh Thuan Branch.

Previously, in January this year, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training to hold the position of President of this University for the 2020-2025 term. With the appointment of one more Vice President, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry now has one President and two Vice Presidents.
