Thai Nguyen youth learn and follow Uncle Ho

Over the years, the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style has been proactively and creatively carried out by all levels of the Youth Union in the province through propaganda, education, and the organization of many specific movements, projects, and activities. This has become a regular practice, spreading strongly throughout the lives of Youth Union members and young people in the province.

Upholding the spirit of youth volunteerism for the community, every year youth unions at all levels in the province organize activities to visit historical sites and provide healthcare for families of policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious services.

Clearly defining the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings as a central focus in youth union work and youth movements, in recent times, youth union and association branches at all levels throughout the province have promoted many propaganda solutions with various creative forms and methods suitable for each target group and time period, constantly innovating in methodology… Online conferences, thematic activities, seminars, and forums have attracted tens of thousands of youth union members and young people, contributing to raising awareness, fostering life ideals, and cultivating revolutionary ethics for the younger generation.

Furthermore, the learning activities are not limited to theoretical sessions but are also linked to creative models such as "Youth Union branches following Uncle Ho's teachings," "Diaries of following Uncle Ho's teachings," and "One good news story every day, one beautiful story every week." Through these, the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style have created a vibrant atmosphere of emulation, contributing to improving the quality of all aspects of youth union work and enhancing the sense of responsibility and exemplary conduct of cadres and youth union members.

Through various movements and campaigns, many exemplary young people have been commended for their implementation of Directive No. 05 on studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings.

Inspired by President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "Wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it," with a spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and unwavering dedication to overcoming difficulties, youth union branches at all levels, from provincial to grassroots, have organized many practical activities for the community, contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality. From 2016 to the present, youth union branches have organized youth union members and student volunteers to donate over 2,680 units of blood; organized free medical examinations, health consultations, and provided free medicine to over 12,000 beneficiaries including policy beneficiaries, war veterans, the elderly, and children in difficult circumstances; and organized over 160 exhibitions and awareness campaigns on maps of Vietnam's seas and islands among youth union members.

In addition, the youth of Thai Nguyen actively participated in the New Rural Development Program, with 5,759 youth projects and initiatives implemented by youth organizations at all levels, valued at nearly 18 billion VND. On the economic front, the province maintained and strengthened 410 youth economic development models with the participation of over 3,500 youth union members, contributing to job creation and increased income for many rural residents.

For example, Mr. Pham Tien Dat is not only the energetic Youth Union Secretary of residential area 2, Song Cau town (Dong Hy district), but he is also the Deputy Director of Thinh An Tea Cooperative with 10 members, managing a 70-hectare tea raw material area, and the Director of Van Lang Agricultural and Forestry Service Cooperative with 21 members, managing a 20-hectare raw material area according to VietGAP standards. In every role, Mr. Dat demonstrates youthful energy, a willingness to think outside the box and take initiative, contributing to the development of movements and cooperatives, with 6 tea products achieving 3-star and 4-star OCOP certifications, creating jobs for many local workers. Recently, Mr. Dat was one of 6 representatives from the province to attend the 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025, held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Dat shared: "Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, and in conjunction with the 'Building the Model Values ​​of Vietnamese Youth in the New Era' campaign, I have always nurtured ambitions and aspirations to strive for excellence, to live beautifully, to live usefully, and to be responsible to myself, my family, and society. Therefore, I have developed a cooperative model to maximize the exploitation of the local key crops and my family's tea-making business."

Not just Mr. Dat, but over the past nearly 10 years, youth union branches throughout the province have commended more than 6,200 outstanding individuals and groups; hundreds of outstanding young people have been recommended, trained, and admitted to the Party, becoming core figures in political and social organizations at the grassroots level. Through simple deeds and practical actions, these exemplary young people have strongly inspired the younger generation, arousing a spirit of dedication, living beautifully, and living usefully. These are also the "flames" that contribute to igniting the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings in each locality and unit throughout the province.

According to Provincial Youth Union Secretary Pham Thi Thu Hien: Promoting the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings is not only a political task but also a guiding principle for action and a spiritual motivation for every young person to steadfastly move forward on the path of self-improvement, career development, and building their homeland. In the context of integration, digital transformation, and the rapid development of social media, a segment of young people have not yet clearly defined their life ideals and are easily influenced by negative information and deviant cultural trends. This requires Youth Union organizations at all levels in the province to continue innovating the content and methods of propaganda and education in the coming time, leveraging the strengths of digital technology to bring the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings closer to young people.
