Leader N'Trang Lơng was born in 1870 in Bon Pu Par (Pu Pơ), in the Dak Dur stream area, at the foot of Nam Dron mountain, Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province today. He was an outstanding son of the M'Nong people of Dak Nong.

To commemorate and promote the historical traditions of national hero N'Trang Lơng, to educate future generations about patriotism and resistance against foreign invaders, and to uphold the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," in 2012, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the N'Trang Lơng Uprising, Dak Nong province solemnly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the N'Trang Lơng monument. On December 20, 2022, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong province organized the ceremony commemorating the 110th anniversary of the N'Trang Lơng Uprising and inaugurated the N'Trang Lơng monument.

The N'Trang Lơng monument is made primarily of granite and blue stone brought from Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh provinces.
The monument is located on Dak Nut B hill, Group 4, Nghia Duc Ward, Gia Nghia City, Dak Nong Province. The site covers a total area of 5.9 hectares ; the overall dimensions of the monument are 18.5 meters high; the statue itself is 13 meters high ( 11 meters for the statue and 2 meters for the base), the relief is 5.5 meters high, and the relief is 25 meters wide. (Weight: over 2000 tons).

The monument consists of two main parts:
The statue depicts the dignified portrait of leader N'Trang Lơng facing northwest, overlooking Dak Nong Lake. The statue embodies the indomitable spirit of a leader who united the ethnic groups of the Central Highlands in an uprising against French colonialism (he carries a basket containing a crossbow and arrows on his back, holds a machete in his right hand, and a pipe in his left hand (the machete is not only a daily tool for the indigenous people of Dak Nong but also a weapon used in fighting the enemy)).

The relief sculptures ( consisting of 4 relief panels at the base of the monument) depict the spirit of unity and indomitability of the people of the Central Highlands, continuing the patriotic tradition and the defiant spirit of leader N'Trang Lơng during the resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism.

The first relief sculpture depicts a peaceful scene of daily community life of the M'Nong people amidst the Central Highlands mountains and forests before the French colonial invasion.

The second relief panel depicts the French colonialists invading, burning fields, and killing innocent people, causing much suffering and loss, and fueling hatred among the people.

The third relief panel depicts the unity and patriotism of the people of the Central Highlands, who gathered at the foot of Nâm Nung mountain to join the uprising led by leader N'Trang Lơng against the French colonial invaders.

Fourth relief panel: The people of the Central Highlands in particular, and the people of all ethnic groups nationwide, continue the indomitable spirit of the N'Trang Lơng uprising; they continue to raise high the banner of independence, bravely fighting against colonial invaders, protecting their homeland and country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the two wars of resistance against French colonialism and American imperialism.

This monument commemorates the great contributions of leader N'Trang Lơng and reminds us of the glorious victories of the people of the Central Highlands in their resistance against the French. The construction of the N'Trang Lơng monument contributes to the education of history, patriotic traditions, and the strength of national unity among the ethnic communities of the Central Highlands, inspiring aspirations for development and determination to build a prosperous and beautiful Dak Nong province. With its significant artistic and architectural value, the N'Trang Lơng monument has become a landmark in the urban landscape and a cultural and spiritual center for the people of all ethnic groups in Dak Nong province.
