According to an announcement from the Metro Line 1 Company Limited, after conducting trial runs of various scenarios, from November 11th, Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will operate at 100% capacity, similar to commercial operation, from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily.
On the afternoon of November 11th, information from the Metro Line 1 Company Limited indicated that Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will begin trial operation as planned at 100% of its designed capacity from today (November 11th) until November 17th.

Accordingly, after a trial period of operating metro line 1 at 20% of its designed capacity from October 14th to November 8th.
From today until November 17th, metro line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will conduct trial operations as planned at 100% of its designed capacity.
The trains will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily, with a train interval of 5 minutes 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
There are two operating options: normal weekday operation and holiday operation, with 14 trains operating on the main line and 3 reserve trains.
The trial operation at 100% of design capacity will last until November 17th. From November 18th onwards, the operational plan will be further discussed among the relevant parties.

In the final phase, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board is still making efforts to implement various solutions and coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1 in training train drivers to ensure timely operation of Metro Line 1 in 2024.
The Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) is expected to begin operation in December and will offer free rides for one month. From January 2025, Metro Line 1 will officially start selling tickets for commercial operation.
The expected fare ranges from 6,000 to 20,000 VND, depending on the route, with a daily pass for unlimited rides at 40,000 VND per person per day.
Metro Line 1 is 19.7km long, including 2.6km underground and 17.1km elevated. The total investment after adjustments is 43,700 billion VND. The project's route runs through District 1, Binh Thanh District, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Di An ( Binh Duong Province ).
The entire Metro Line 1 has 3 underground stations: Ben Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, and Ba Son, and 11 elevated stations: Van Thanh, Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, High-Tech Park, Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Suoi Tien Bus Station.
To date, the project has achieved 99% of its construction volume, with the remaining 1% related to acceptance testing and procedures for putting the project into operation.
