'Kungfu Master' Huynh Thanh Y favors Vietnamese designs

At the 11th Silk Road International Film Festival , taking place in Shaanxi, China, Huang Shengyi - the beauty of the movie Kungfu Hustle, stood out in a dress by designers Tra Linh and Viet Trinh.

Huynh Thanh Y chose a design inspired by flowers.

The design Huynh Thanh Y chose is called Starry Rose, in the latest collection of designers Tra Linh and Viet Trinh.

The dress stands out with floral motifs running along the body of the dress, made from metallic material.

Regarding color, the two designers used the main contrasting colors of white and red combined with thousands of crystals.

The designer created a highlight with the ombre color-changing technique, creating softer petals, resulting in a luxurious dress.

Designer Tra Linh said the actress' stylist proactively contacted and ordered the design.

The Starry Rose design is handcrafted.

The team of more than 10 workers spent more than 500 hours to meticulously and delicately complete this dress. The price of this dress is 125 million VND.

Prefer designs of Vietnamese designers

Previously, Huynh Thanh Y chose a design by designer Tran Hung with tulip motifs running along the body of the dress.

The design uses Vietnamese brocade and Mikado Silk. She wore this design to attend the Madame Figaro Beauty Awards 2020 in Beijing, China.

This design was part of the Revival collection which was popular with many artists at the time.

Huynh Thanh Y was born in 1983, she participated in entertainment activities since the early 2000s.

She left her mark in many films such as: Kung Fu Hustle, Legend of the White Snake, Palace of Agarwood, Origin of the Hibiscus, Sword of the Blood, Song of the Sea, The Red Rose...
