VAPA opens photo exhibition "Fatherland on the shore of waves" in Laos

(NADS) - On the afternoon of April 18, in Vientiane - Laos, on the occasion of Laos' traditional New Year Bun Pi May, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in collaboration with the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos and the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts organized the opening of an art photography exhibition on the theme of the homeland's sea and islands "The Fatherland on the shore of the waves".

Attending and opening the exhibition were: National Assembly Delegate Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Mr. Phan Minh Chien, Minister Counselor - Second Person, Embassy of Vietnam in Laos; Mr. Nguyen Phuc Sinh, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos; Mr. Kham Souk Keovongsay, Director of the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts.

In order to enrich the cultural and artistic exchange and cooperation activities between Vietnam and Laos, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists has selected 100 works from the photo collection selected for exhibition in the National Art Photography Contest "Fatherland on the Shore of Waves" in 2023 (organized by the Vietnam Propaganda Department) in coordination with the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos, the Lao National Academy of Fine Arts to organize an exhibition to introduce to the Lao people as well as the Vietnamese community living and working here.

The exhibition brings to the public images of the potential majestic and poetic beauty of nature, the country, the harmonious, sincere yet heroic and resilient living space of millions of Vietnamese people across the seas and islands of the Fatherland.

The exhibition will be on display at the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos in Vientiane until May 15, 2024 and will then continue to be displayed in other localities in Laos.
