VFF shares and supports the family of the late referee Tran Dinh Thinh

(NLDO) - Representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and VPF Company visited referee Tran Dinh Thinh, and offered condolences and encouragement to the family and relatives of the late referee.

At the funeral, representatives of VFF and VPF burned incense to bid farewell to referee Tran Dinh Thinh, expressing their condolences at the sudden passing of the devoted "black shirt king" who had many years of dedication to Vietnamese football.

Referee Tran Dinh Thinh's sudden passing shocked Vietnamese football.

VFF and VPF also send their deepest condolences to the family and relatives of referee Tran Dinh Thinh, and will continue to accompany and support the family to overcome this difficult period.

Mr. Tran Dinh Thinh was born in 1982 in Dong Nai , officially participated in refereeing at national tournaments since 2010 and was awarded FIFA referee status in 2019 and 2020.

Throughout his refereeing career, Mr. Thinh is considered an experienced referee in national professional football tournaments and won the "Silver Whistle" title for the category of Excellent Referee of V-League 2024-2025.

Representatives of VFF and VPF burn incense to bid farewell to referee Tran Dinh Thinh

On the morning of August 3, referee Tran Dinh Thinh suffered a stroke during a professional competency test before the new season and suddenly passed away in the early morning of August 4 in Hanoi . Afterwards, his body was brought back to his hometown for burial by his relatives.

In order to express deep gratitude and affection for referee Tran Dinh Thinh, VFF and VPF organized the entire funeral. At the same time, VFF and VPF also agreed to allocate support to share some of the loss of referee Tran Dinh Thinh's family and relatives.

The leaders of VFF and VPF respectfully acknowledge the silent but meaningful contributions of referee Tran Dinh Thinh to the development of Vietnamese football. We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family and wish him to rest in peace!
