Kien Giang is the only representative from Vietnam and Asia to be included in the top 10 friendliest destinations in the world in 2025, as announced by Booking.com within the framework of the Traveller Review Awards.

The results, compiled from over 360 million verified reviews, recognize regions and partners with outstanding service quality, contributing to an enhanced global travel experience.

According to Varun Grover, Country Director of Booking.com Vietnam, among 1.71 million partners in 212 countries, Kien Giang stands out with its impressive recovery rate. In the first quarter of 2025, the province welcomed over 3.1 million visitors (a 13.7% increase), bringing in over 13,000 billion VND in revenue, equivalent to nearly 509 million USD – almost half of the year's target.

Phu Quoc alone welcomed over 2 million visitors, including 474,468 international tourists – a 66.5% increase. In January and February 2025 alone, Phu Quoc received 1.4 million visitors (including 320,888 international tourists) – a 52.7% increase compared to last year.

Phu Quoc, Vietnam's pearl island, continues to play a leading role in tourism development for the entire province, recording over 2 million visitors, including nearly 475,000 international tourists, in the first quarter of 2025.

This award serves as motivation for Kien Giang to continue upgrading its infrastructure, diversifying its products, and improving the quality of its tourism services.
