According to China's Qunar tourism data platform, Vietnam is among the top 10 most popular destinations for Chinese tourists during the country's holidays.

Travel sites shared that the number of international flight bookings by Chinese tourists on the first day of the International Labor Day holiday reached a record high, up 20% compared to pre-Covid-19 levels.

“The number of flight bookings to some visa-free destinations during the Labor Day holiday has surpassed the number recorded during the same period in 2019,” Qunar said.

Specifically, the number of flight bookings to Thailand and Malaysia saw an increase of more than 30%, while the number of bookings to Singapore and Georgia more than doubled.

Searches from China for trips to Vietnam have also almost recovered to pre-pandemic levels, reaching 95% of 2020 levels.

Tourists from China tend to choose Vietnam for their vacations because of its rich culture and beautiful natural landscapes.

Other names on the list of 10 most popular destinations for Chinese tourists during the May holiday are Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, the US, the Philippines and Australia.
