According to the VNA correspondent in Buenos Aires, speaking at the reception, Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet highly appreciated the good cooperative relationship in all fields between Vietnam and Uruguay over the past 30 years, especially emphasizing the relationship between political parties, including the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and Uruguayan left-wing parties such as the Communist Party of Uruguay and the MPP, both of which are currently part of the ruling FA coalition.

Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet also expressed her desire for the two countries to strengthen cooperative relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and Uruguayan political parties, as well as exchange delegations at all levels, and promote parliamentary cooperation, including the activities of the Vietnam-Uruguay Parliamentary Friendship Group and the Uruguay-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, of which MP Aldaya is a member.

Ambassador Ngo Minh Nguyet stated that Vietnam is currently cooperating with the Montevideo authorities in constructing a monument to President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam Park in Uruguay, as well as placing a bronze plaque commemorating him in the Montevideo port area, one of President Ho Chi Minh's stops on his journey around the world in 1912 to find a way to save the country.

For his part, MP Aldaya expressed admiration for the heroic sacrifice and courage of the Vietnamese people throughout their history of fighting against foreign invaders, gaining independence, and building and defending the country. MP Aldaya also highly appreciated the political , economic, and social achievements that the Vietnamese people have attained since national reunification, especially the remarkable development in the 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi (Renovation) policy.

MP Aldaya affirmed his determination to further promote and strengthen the good cooperative relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the MPP and the left-wing Broad Front (FA), contributing to the development of relations between the two countries.

The MPP is one of the key forces within Uruguay's left-wing FA coalition. Founded in 1989, the MPP originated from the Tupamaros guerrilla movement. Former President José “Pepe” Mujica (2010–2015) was a prominent figure in the party, known for his simple lifestyle and progressive ideology. Currently, President Yamandú Orsi, also a member of the MPP, continues Mujica's political legacy, focusing on social justice, sustainable development, and expanding the welfare of the Uruguayan people.
