Specifically, the concert, themed “Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2026,” was performed by the United Youth Harmony Choir (Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music). Their clear, energetic melodies brought relaxation and well wishes to the patients. After their performance in the hospital courtyard, the choir continued to the Geriatrics Department, bringing warm music to the elderly patients undergoing treatment.

Ms. Tran Anh Minh, Deputy Head of the Composition - Conducting - Musicology Department at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, said that the United Youth Harmony Choir is very happy to bring music to patients. Each melody, each song is a wish for peace that the choir wants to send to patients, their families, and the medical staff.

"We hope that music will somehow help people, especially patients, feel more at ease and have more positive energy during their treatment journey," added Ms. Tran Anh Minh.

Alongside the music program, an art class titled "Christmas Through My Eyes" was held in the hallway of the Pediatrics Department, with the participation of over 40 young inpatients. Here, the children made their own 1-meter-tall felt Christmas trees to display throughout the holiday season.

In addition, the students collaborated to create Christmas cards to send to patients undergoing treatment in the Oncology Department. These colorful cards, filled with heartfelt wishes, will be hung on the Christmas tree in front of the lobby as a way of conveying good wishes to the patients during the holiday season. The activity created a vibrant artistic atmosphere, allowing the students to have fun, relax, and spread the spirit of sharing through meaningful gifts.

Besides fun and relaxing activities, the child patients and other patients undergoing treatment at the Dialysis Department also received Christmas gifts.

According to Dr. Vo Hong Minh Cong, Deputy Director of Gia Dinh People's Hospital, in addition to its professional duties, the hospital always focuses on organizing humanitarian activities for patients. Concerts and painting classes during Christmas not only create a warm atmosphere but also provide positive energy for patients.
