The Vietnam Red Cross has just decided to provide emergency support to the victims of the mini apartment fire in Thanh Xuan district ( Hanoi ) with a total amount of 354 million VND.
Accordingly, support for 56 deceased victims, each victim 5 million VND and 37 seriously injured people being treated in hospitals, each 2 million VND.
Representatives of the Central Red Cross Society visited fire victims being treated at medical facilities.
On the morning of September 14, the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and the Hanoi Red Cross organized two working groups to visit and encourage fire victims who are being treated at the following hospitals: University of Medicine, Bach Mai, Saint Paul, Post Office, Dong Da, Military Hospital 103 and Ha Dong General Hospital.
Also this morning, leaders of Vietnam Social Security visited and supported the families with 3 million VND/person who died, 2 million VND/person who was injured. The above amount was deducted from the salaries of civil servants and public employees in the industry.
General Director of Vietnam Social Security Nguyen The Manh also directed the Director of Hanoi Social Security to coordinate with medical facilities to create all conditions, ensure adequate and timely medicine, medical supplies, technical services... to support, care for, and provide the best treatment for patients injured in the fire.
Resolve as quickly and as soon as possible the funeral expenses and death benefits for social insurance participants who are victims of fires according to regulations.
The Ministry of Health requested not to collect fees yet.
Previously, in an official dispatch sent to the Hanoi Department of Health and hospitals regarding coordination in receiving, providing emergency aid and timely treatment to victims of the mini apartment fire, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment (Ministry of Health) requested hospitals to coordinate with relevant units to mobilize good doctors, ensure adequate medicine and emergency equipment, and handle and treat victims.
In the immediate future, the units will focus on treatment, health care, and psychological stability for victims and their families to overcome the crisis and feel secure in their treatment, without collecting any fees.
In addition, assign a focal point to provide official information to the press, media, and victims' families.
