The leaders of VNU-HCM affirmed the pioneering role of the unit, proactively coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Training to deploy enrollment software, update new regulations and organize early training for schools in the Southern group. The system test run will be carried out early to ensure technical stability, minimizing errors in virtual filtering and enrollment.
The 2026 National High School Graduation Exam will continue to have two rounds of exams before the high school graduation exam, and at the same time, additional exam locations will be expanded to facilitate candidates. The exam structure will remain stable but will be improved towards international standards, increasing reliability and classification ability.
VNU-HCM said it will increase the application of technology in exam supervision and grading, tighten supervision and prevent cheating. The goal is to ensure each exam session is safe, serious, transparent, and at the same time friendly and provides maximum support to candidates.
The effective implementation of these two pillars requires the support, comments and sharing from universities in the Southern group as well as units coordinating the organization of the National High School Exam.
Providing in-depth information about the 2026 National High School Graduation Exam, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Assessment of Training Quality (VNU-HCM), said that he will continue to organize two rounds of National High School Graduation Exams before the High School Graduation Exam at the same time in many localities; develop the exam in a stable and sustainable manner using the objective multiple-choice method on paper with the current exam structure; strengthen close coordination with exam organizing units, provide guidance and supervision to ensure that officials comply with regulations and procedures, limit errors, and prevent violations.
The 2026 National High School Graduation Exam will be held in 15 provinces/cities (after the merger), continuing to maintain the exam locations in 2025.
