On December 5, the final round of the 27th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award opened at Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry.
Many studies have high applicability
This year, Euréka attracted a record number of topics with 2,179 research projects in 15 fields from technology, biomedicine, environment, agriculture , planning-architecture to culture-society... Through 27 seasons of organization, the award has become a prestigious academic platform, promoting the research movement among students, while connecting universities - businesses - research institutes.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry presented flowers and souvenirs to representatives of the Scientific Councils.

Many topics are evaluated as groundbreaking, promising high applicability.
Associate Professor Dr. Phan Tai Huan, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, said that hosting the Euréka 2025 final round is a great honor on the occasion of the school's 70th anniversary. "Through Euréka, the school wishes to contribute to the development of the young scientific community, promote research cooperation and spread the spirit of innovation among students," Mr. Huan emphasized.

Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tai Huan delivered a welcome speech to the delegates and contestants attending the final round.
One of the topics that attracted attention in this year’s final round was the research project on night-time economic development in Ben Thanh Ward by a group of students from the People’s Security University. The topic was carried out in 1.5 years about great potential but the activities here are still fragmented, not synchronously planned and have many potential risks to security and order.

A group of students from the People's Security University defended their thesis.

Accompanying the award is a team of 500 scientists, experts, and lecturers participating in judging.
Chinese female student with the topic of social networks
In the field of social sciences, the topic of Lu Yunxia, a student at Hanoi University, attracted attention because it was done completely independently. Based on the experience of living and studying in two cultures, Yunxia noticed the differences in academic pressure and the way students from the two countries use social networks.
She spent half a year collecting surveys from 300 Vietnamese and Chinese students. “Eureka is a very noble competition. Being in the final round, I was both happy and worried, and had many sleepless nights. But my passion for research helped me persevere until the end,” Yunxia shared.

Many judges assessed this research as highly relevant, especially in the context of students from both countries being strongly influenced by social networks and a culture of academic competition.
The appearance of candidates with good foreign language skills and confident presentations in English helped make the competition more exciting, showing that the research thinking of Vietnamese students is increasingly approaching international standards.

A group of students from the People's Police Academy from Hanoi participated in presenting the topic.
As the host, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry continues to affirm its position as a leading training and research center, a place to nurture young talents. Many applicable topics at Euréka 2025 will be funded for further research, development and transfer in the coming time.
The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 27th Euréka Student Scientific Research Award 2025 will take place on December 7, 2025 at Tran Chi Dao Hall, VNU-HCM (Linh Xuan Ward, HCMC).
