Grave excavation case in Thanh Hoa: Debt led to bone theft for blackmail

On the evening of September 12, according to Dan Tri reporter's source, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police arrested the subject who dug up Mr. H's grave (Trieu Cong village, Quang Loc commune, Quang Xuong district).

According to the source, after digging the grave, the subject named Nam took some of the victim's bones, then put them in a plastic bag and hid them in a garbage dump near the cemetery in Trieu Cong village.

According to the investigation agency, Nam confessed that due to debt, he had the idea of ​​robbing the grave and blackmailing Mr. H's relatives.

Previously, as Dan Tri newspaper reported, on the afternoon of September 10, Quang Loc Commune Police received a report from Ms. HTL (Mr. H's daughter-in-law) about a stranger texting her, asking her to pay 5 billion VND.

The stranger threatened that if she did not comply with the request, she would not see her father-in-law's remains. At the same time, this person also asked Ms. L. not to report to the police.

After receiving the information, the Quang Loc Commune Police and the family went to the cemetery where Ms. L.'s father-in-law was buried to check. At the scene, Mr. H.'s grave had been dug up and part of his remains had been stolen.
