Cu Chi Commune inaugurated Tan Thong Hoi Primary School to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day

On August 29, the People's Committee of Cu Chi commune coordinated with the Cu Chi District Investment and Construction Project Management Board to organize the inauguration ceremony of Tan Thong Hoi Primary School.

Mr. Tran Quang Thai - Vice Chairman of Cu Chi Commune People's Committee - said that Tan Thong Hoi Primary School was newly invested in construction including 20 classrooms and functional rooms, with a total cost of 110,506 billion VND, including compensation costs for site clearance, construction, equipment... Up to now, all acceptance procedures have been completed and put into use.

This is an event of special significance, a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, marking a new step in the development of local education .

"For the cause of local education development, 8 households agreed to receive compensation and hand over the land to carry out the project on schedule," said Mr. Tran Quang Thai.

Mr. Dao Quoc Thai - Deputy Director of the Cu Chi District Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the project started on October 16, 2024, and is expected to be completed on October 10, 2025. The actual completion date is August 25, 2025.

The project includes 20 classrooms and functional rooms, playground, fence, school gate and other auxiliary items. The project has been accepted, ensuring technical and aesthetic requirements, meeting school standards according to regulations.

Mr. Mai Sinh - Principal of Tan Thong Hoi Primary School - said that the inauguration ceremony of Tan Thong Hoi Primary School was in the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country welcoming the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training ). Tan Thong Hoi Primary School officially coming into operation will solve the pressure of schools for students in Cu Chi commune.

The new school with spacious facilities, fully equipped classrooms, functional rooms, teaching equipment and spacious, clean playgrounds will create better learning conditions for students, while also encouraging the spirit of the staff, teachers and students to make more efforts in the process of caring for and educating students. Thereby contributing positively to improving the physical and mental quality of students.

At the ceremony, representatives of Cu Chi commune leaders and a number of units and individuals awarded scholarships to 10 students in difficult circumstances.

Cu Chi commune has an area of about 64.87 ^km2 and a population of nearly 130,000 people, merged from three communes: Tan Phu Trung, Tan Thong Hoi and Phuoc Vinh An (old Cu Chi district). Cu Chi commune has the largest population among the 7 communes after the merger in the area of Cu Chi district (old).
