Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hiep Duc commune, said that the groundbreaking ceremony was in response to the "Quang Trung Campaign" launched by the Prime Minister to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose homes were damaged in recent natural disasters.
At the ceremony, Hiep Duc commune and the Command of Defense Zone 3 - Tra My commenced the construction of four new solidarity houses for the following households: Nguyen Dinh Son (Tra Linh Tay village), Nguyen Dinh Bang (Tam Tu village), Tran Ngoc Hung (Tra Linh Tay village), Tran Thi Thanh (Binh Kieu village), and repaired one house.
Each household received support ranging from 90 to 120 million VND from local organizations and individuals. Armed forces units and mass organizations provided labor for construction. In addition, families contributed a minimum of 50 million VND to build more spacious and comfortable homes.
Each newly built house has an area of nearly 100m² , including a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Notably, each house has a mezzanine of about 35m² to provide shelter during storms. The local authorities are determined to complete the construction and renovation of 5 houses before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
Following the launching ceremony, the forces conducted surveys of the current condition of each house and simultaneously carried out tasks such as transporting materials and preparing the site. Many union members, association members, and people in the commune actively participated, spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual support within the community.
