Awarding the Medal 'For the cause of planning and investment sector'

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the planning and investment sector (December 31, 1945 - December 31, 2024), the Department of Planning and Investment of the province has just sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, and district-level People's Committees on awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the cause of the planning and investment sector".

The awardees are provincial leaders; individuals working in the planning and investment sector; and individuals outside the sector who have contributed to the construction and development of this sector.

The conditions for consideration are that individuals who are working or have retired from agencies and units in the planning and investment sector have worked in the sector for 15 years or more for women; and 20 years or more for men. For individuals transferring to work in the planning and investment sector, the total working time must be 20 years or more, of which the minimum working time in the sector is 10 years.

Seniority is not taken into account when considering awarding Commemorative Medals in the following cases: individuals who are provincial leaders; individuals working in the planning and investment sector who have achieved the title of Labor Hero, National Emulation Fighter, State honorary title, and have been awarded medals of various types...

Individuals submit applications for the "For the cause of the planning and investment sector" Medal to the Department of Planning and Investment before December 30, 2024.

Previously, on December 26, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to reorganize the apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, District People's Committees and associations assigned by the Party and the State. Accordingly, the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance will merge, expected to be named the Department of Economics and Finance. Also according to the plan, the project to merge the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance will be completed before December 31, 2024.
