The Cam Khe District Police have issued administrative penalty decisions against two citizens residing in Cam Khe Town for failing to comply with the directives and commands of competent authorities regarding disaster prevention and control, with a fine of 4 million VND per case.

Forced relocation of citizens who deliberately refuse to comply with the directives of competent authorities at Phu Dong alluvial plain, Phu Dong area, Cam Khe town.
Due to the rapidly rising water level of the Thao River in the area, posing a danger to people's lives and property, Cam Khe district organized the relocation of some households in the dangerous area to a safe location. On September 9th, authorities mobilized forces to the Phu Dong alluvial area in Phu Dong ward, Cam Khe town, to educate and persuade residents living there to move to the shore for safety.

However, two citizens, Mr. D.T.T. (born in 1993, residing in Phu Dong area, Cam Khe town) and Ms. N.T.T. (born in 1973, residing in Thanh Cong area, Cam Khe town), deliberately disobeyed the directives and commands of the competent authorities regarding disaster prevention and control, fleeing and refusing to return to shore, causing rescue forces to search for them for many hours. On the morning of September 10th, authorities finally brought the two citizens to a safe area.
The above behavior violates the provisions of Clause 1, Article 12, Decree No. 03/2022/ND-CP dated January 6, 2022 of the Government on "Administrative sanctions in the field of disaster prevention and control, irrigation and dykes". The fine is 4 million VND/case.
Therefore, people need to strictly abide by the legal regulations on disaster prevention and control, including storms and floods, to ensure the safety of lives and property.
