Clip of female student being beaten by a group of friends on the opening day of school appeared

(Dan Tri) - A clip recording a group of female students attacking a female student in a white shirt in Nghe An on the opening day of school has outraged public opinion.

A video clip, over two minutes long, showing a female student being attacked by a group of classmates on a deserted dirt road, has caused a public outcry in recent days. The incident, identified as occurring in Dong Hieu commune, Nghe An province , involves female students from Dong Hieu High School.

The video shows a female student wearing a white shirt being surrounded and assaulted by 4-5 other female students. Initially, a female student in a black shirt grabbed the victim's hair, snatched her helmet, and repeatedly hit her on the head and face. When the girl in the white shirt fell down, the group continued to gang up on her.

The victim then collapsed to the ground in a state of panic and pain, while the group of friends continued to hurl insults before leaving. Notably, several other people were also present in the video, but no one intervened.

The incident is believed to have stemmed from a personal conflict, when the students brought up previous gossiping. The female student who was assaulted has been identified as a student at Dong Hieu High School.

Speaking with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper on September 9th, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Principal of Dong Hieu High School, confirmed that the incident occurred after the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, in the Cay Xang hamlet area (Dong Hieu commune), outside the school grounds.

“After the incident, the family reported it to the police, and the students involved were summoned for questioning. On September 8th, the school's student council also invited the students for a discussion. They said it was just a minor conflict and they let it go. This afternoon, the school continued to invite parents and students to a meeting to remind them of the rules. The school will cooperate with the families to educate and gradually correct their behavior,” Mr. Cuong shared.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hao, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Hieu commune, also stated that the local authorities have received the information and will provide a detailed report on the incident.

The clip has sparked widespread public concern about school violence and called on authorities and schools to take timely measures to address, deter, and educate the public to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
