Issue electronic invoices after each sale

Việt NamViệt Nam09/07/2024

The use of electronic invoices (e-invoices) is a significant step in the digital transformation of the tax sector, aiming to provide convenient tax services for citizens and businesses, and promote transparent business practices. In recent times, the tax sector has implemented many solutions to promote the creation of e-invoices for each sale in business activities.

Customers can verify the information on their electronic invoice at Petrolimex Station No. 1, Quang Ninh Petroleum Branch.

Gasoline and diesel fuel are commodities at high risk of fraud, leading to significant losses and economic impacts. Following directives from the Government, central ministries and agencies, and the province, the Provincial Tax Department has actively coordinated efforts to promote the use of electronic invoices for each sale in retail gasoline and diesel fuel businesses. Specific targets have been assigned to departments, branches, and officials to support, supervise, and resolve difficulties in the implementation of electronic invoices for each sale. The Provincial Tax Department has collaborated with relevant units to organize conferences, seminars, training courses, and exchanges to promptly address issues; facilitated the sharing of solutions by providers of electronic invoice software; and resolutely dealt with stores that were uncooperative…   Thanks to that,   Quang Ninh is one of the first localities in the country to complete the implementation of electronic invoices after each sale at all gasoline stations, including 93 businesses with 189 stations.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Store Manager of Petrolimex Station No. 1, Quang Ninh Petroleum Branch, said: "Creating electronic invoices for each sale at retail gas stations is absolutely essential. The station has received early investment from the company in infrastructure, software, and a synchronized connection system from the fuel pumps to the station's accounting department and the business, ensuring that invoices are generated immediately after the customer's fuel purchase transaction is completed. Information about tax identification numbers, pumping time, vehicle license plates, fuel quantity, etc., are all updated on the invoice, integrated with Petrolimex's management software system, and sent to the Tax Department for monitoring and control; helping the station manage effectively, prevent fraud, and save costs, time, and manpower."

Employees of the Cam Pha Materials Supply Enterprise create electronic invoices for customers after each sale.

Issuing electronic invoices after each sale is a crucial solution that not only helps businesses easily and transparently account for their transactions, building customer trust, but also helps tax authorities build a complete, centralized, and continuous database. Recently, the Provincial Tax Department has intensified efforts to expand the deployment of electronic invoices generated from cash registers across various services. The unit has promoted awareness of the effectiveness of electronic invoices, regularly monitors, exchanges information, and listens to address difficulties, and has established inspection teams to strictly handle cases of businesses that have registered but not implemented the system.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Head of PNJ Quang Ninh Branch, stated: "100% of all sales transactions at PNJ Quang Ninh branch stores are processed and issued with electronic invoices. These electronic invoices, bearing tax authority codes, are generated immediately after customer payment. They are then sent to customers online or in person. The creation, issuance, and distribution of electronic invoices not only helps us enhance control over sales transactions but also saves customers time, ensures their rights, and protects their interests."

Mr. Ngo Ba Son Tung, Business Director of Acman Technology Development Company in Quang Ninh province, said: "To facilitate compliance with tax regulations for business households, since February 2023, our company has been promoting the deployment of sales accounting software integrated with electronic invoices generated from cash registers. Not only does it integrate features for managing goods, customers, generating reports, and managing inventory, but the software also helps business households easily issue electronic invoices with tax authority codes as required, directly to customers, generated from cash registers. Currently, more than 1,000 business households in the province have used this software."

In addition, the Provincial Tax Department continues to organize the selection and awarding of prizes to individuals and business households in the "Lucky Invoice" program. Individuals and business households who purchase goods and services and obtain electronic invoices with tax authority codes and complete buyer identification information have a chance to win the "Lucky Invoice" prize. The program is organized with the goal of encouraging the creation, issuance, and use of electronic invoices when buying and selling goods, contributing to building a transparent business environment and preventing revenue losses for the state budget.
