212 students from Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , and Quang Tri provinces have just been awarded Vallet scholarships for 2024, with a total value of nearly 3.5 billion VND.
On the afternoon of September 3rd, in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, the "Meeting Vietnam" Science and Education Association held the Vallet Scholarship Award Ceremony for 2024, honoring outstanding students from the three provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, and Ha Tinh.
According to Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the "Meeting Vietnam" Science and Education Association, the Vallet Scholarship Fund is the largest scholarship fund among the "Meeting Vietnam" science and education organizations.
Dr. Esperan Padonou, Director of the Vallet Scholarship Fund, stated that Professor Odon Vallet will continue to maintain the Vallet Scholarship Fund for another 100 years. In particular, the value of the scholarships will increase annually to help and support students on their academic and scientific research journeys, and this value will continue to increase as long as the Vallet Scholarship Fund remains in operation. The Fund will also continue to partner with Vietnam in awarding meaningful scholarships to underprivileged students who excel academically in urban areas, mountainous regions, remote areas, border areas, islands, and ethnic minority communities.

From 2001 to 2024, with the support and assistance of Professor Odon Vallet, the "Meeting Vietnam" Science and Education Association has awarded more than 55,000 scholarships to outstanding Vietnamese students with excellent academic achievements, totaling approximately 500 billion VND; providing significant support to many excellent students from disadvantaged backgrounds; and motivating and supporting them to become more confident and successful in their studies.
In 2024 alone, the "Meeting Vietnam" Science and Education Association continued to award scholarships to over 2,000 outstanding students and researchers nationwide, with a total value exceeding 40 billion VND.
The Vallet Scholarship was established in 2001 with the voluntary contribution of Professor Odon Vallet, who worked at the Sorbonne University in the Republic of France. The scholarship has supported the scientific and educational development activities of the Meeting Vietnam Science Organization, founded by Professor Tran Thanh Van and his wife, Professor Le Kim Ngoc, to award scholarships to outstanding students in Vietnam.
