(Dan Tri) - Of these, 45 professor candidates and 570 associate professor candidates received enough votes of confidence from the State Council of Professors in 2024.
This morning (November 4), the State Council of Professors announced the list of qualified candidates for the titles of professor and associate professor in 2024.
According to this list, there are 615 candidates recognized as meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024, of which there are 45 professor candidates and 570 associate professor candidates.
According to the report of the State Council of Professors (SCPD) Office, in 2024, 803 candidates submitted applications for recognition of meeting the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor at 111 basic SCPDs, including 77 GS candidates and 726 PGS candidates.

After reviewing the documents and evaluating all aspects, 731 candidates were proposed to be considered for recognition as meeting the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor at 27 professional and interdisciplinary Councils. The Council of Literature alone had no candidates.
The industry and interdisciplinary Councils of Professors have met to consider and recognize the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2024.
As a result, 631 candidates were proposed to the State Council of Professors for recognition. The Council of Professors of Military Science and Security Science proposed to consider and recognize 54 candidates as meeting the title standards (2 Professor candidates, 52 Associate Professor candidates).
Economics and Medicine are the two majors with the highest number of candidates meeting the standards for professor and associate professor titles this year.
The Faculty of Economics has 100 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2024. The Faculty of Medicine has 71 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor.
The interdisciplinary Council of Professors of Philosophy - Political Science - Sociology has the least number of qualified candidates for the titles of professor and associate professor this year with 2 professors and 2 associate professors.
At the second meeting, the State Council of Professors publicly discussed each candidate's profile, elected a vote counting committee and voted on the list of candidates eligible for recognition as meeting the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor.
As a result, the number of candidates who achieved the required number of votes of confidence: 45 professor candidates, 570 associate professor candidates.
The passing rate compared to the total number of candidates who initially submitted their applications to the basic GS Councils up to this point is 76.59% (of which the passing rate of GS candidates is 58.44%, and that of PGS candidates is 78.51%).
