According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 19, the weather across the country continued to have clear differentiation.

The northern region is receiving increased cold air, so the weather will remain cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold, accompanied by dense fog in the early morning. Meanwhile, the central and southern regions will remain warm and sunny, but scattered showers may appear in some places in the central region.

At sea, cold air causes strong winds in the sea areas. The South China Sea (including Truong Sa sea area) has scattered showers and thunderstorms; during thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7-8.

In the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa sea area), there will be strong northeast winds at level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9. Rough seas; waves 4-6 meters high. In the Gulf of Tonkin, there will be strong northeast winds at level 5, sometimes at level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough seas; waves 2-3.5 meters high.

The sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough sea; waves 2-4m high.

The sea area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau , the central East Sea area, the western sea area of ​​the southern East Sea area (including the western sea area of ​​Truong Sa) has strong northeast wind level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9. Rough sea; waves 3-5m high. The risk level of natural disasters due to strong winds at sea is level 2.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones, strong winds and large waves.
