In the cultural industries, the fields of fine arts, photography, exhibitions, and advertising have made a difference with exemplary architectural and artistic works. The Quang Ninh Museum is a unique architectural and artistic masterpiece, leaving a deep impression on visitors with its three floors displaying tens of thousands of artifacts and documents, including national treasures, organized by theme.

Over the years, the Quang Ninh Museum has continuously strived and developed in organizing thematic exhibitions, making a significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of cultural values. From 2020 to the present, the Museum has organized 19 thematic exhibitions. After the Covid-19 period, the number of exhibitions has steadily increased, with each year surpassing the previous one. In 2023 alone, the Museum organized 6 thematic exhibitions. The exhibitions are usually organized around specific themes, helping visitors better understand the history and people of Quang Ninh.

Besides exhibiting artifacts and antiques, the museum is also an ideal space for organizing art exhibitions. At the training course "Literature and Art in the Development of the Cultural Industry in Vietnam: The Role of Creative Theory, Criticism, and Promotion" held in Ha Long, art researcher Phan Cam Thuong assessed Quang Ninh as one of the leading provinces in exhibition activities, due to its exemplary architectural and artistic works such as the museum with its unique architectural space. Quang Ninh could host international exhibitions, attracting world- renowned figures to create and exhibit. Other places wanting to do the same would need good infrastructure with museum and exhibition spaces like Quang Ninh to be able to organize such events. Thanks to these works, more tourists will visit, and the image of the locality will be promoted more widely.

The Quang Ninh Museum has been attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists annually and is one of the few museums nationwide that is financially self-sufficient. In 2019, the total number of visitors to the museum reached over 367,000, with total revenue from ticket sales exceeding 10 billion VND. Despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2022, the museum still achieved ticket sales revenue of over 16 billion VND. In 2023, the museum collected over 13 billion VND in entrance fees.

In 2024, the Quang Ninh Museum experienced its highest visitor numbers during the summer. From the beginning of the year to date, it has welcomed over 650,000 visitors, including approximately 19,000 international visitors. Revenue from ticket sales reached over 19.2 billion VND, an increase of nearly 5% compared to the same period in 2023. The museum can be considered a prime example of preserving cultural heritage values and effectively utilizing comparative cultural advantages in the socio-economic development of the locality. From September 30th onwards, after efforts to recover from the aftermath of Typhoon No. 3, the Quang Ninh Museum will reopen to visitors.

To continuously enhance its appeal, the Quang Ninh Museum has actively collected thousands of artifacts for display, reorganized its exhibition spaces, and effectively applied digital technology to provide visitors with a new and multi-dimensional experience. The introduction of a virtual museum application has modeled the entire physical space of the museum in 3D, allowing internet users to remotely explore it, contributing to wider promotion to visitors, especially foreign tourists.

In the coming period, Quang Ninh Museum will continue to strive to build cultural experience models, linking cultural heritage with socio-economic development, awakening the value of heritage, transforming heritage into tourism assets, and turning culture into commodities, contributing to improving the quality of activities and the position of provincial-level cultural institutions, further promoting its role in building and developing the culture and people of Quang Ninh, and meeting the requirements of sustainable national development.

At the "Policies and Resources for the Development of Cultural Institutions" workshop held in Ha Long, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Acting Head of the Management Board of the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Cultural and Tourism Village (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), commented: "The Quang Ninh Museum deserves to be a model worth emulating, a place that ensures both social benefits and economic benefits. The successes of Quang Ninh also provide a more visual and vivid perspective on the development of cultural institutions."
